Gaileo Galilei : A Herestic ???

Gaileo Galilei (1564 - 1642) was one of the influential scientists of this millenium, however he live during a time when the protestants reformed was gaining momentum and Europe was in turmoil. The Catholic Church was losing its hold on the northern Europe and the Thirty Years' raged. Chinese Proverb quote : " A hero live in wrong time ." Gaileo resided on the Italian peninsula , where the Church maintained a strong hold, and he could not rely on the protection of the reformers in other part of Europe. None-the-less, even though "pagan" belief associated wit frequency and resonance-related phenomena had been banned by the Church for centuries, Gaileo performed research on natural resonant frequencies in a pendulum system. In 1632, Gaileo published his "Dialogue" and a daring move described the mechanics of the natural resonant frequencies writing, " "The Pendulum make its vibrations with one and the same frequency and "every Pendulum hath the Time of its Vibrations...pre-fixed...{and} and it is impossible to make it move under any other Period, than that is natural unto it ." He desribed the resonant accelerating forces produced by precise time puffs of his breath stating, "by blowing upon {the Pendulum one may} confer a Motion, and a Motion considerably great by reiterating the blasts, but only under the Time properly belonging to Vibrations.". Gaileo thus provided one of the first documented description s of resonance, namely the increase in amplitude and energy of a system of vibrations when an applied vibration , motion or energy matched the natural frequency of the system. Unfortunately, the Church was less accommodating than Gaileo had anticipated. He was convicted of heresy and placed under house arrest for the rest of life. Sigh!!!

What is Democracy ?

What is democracy ? Pure democracy is simply the rule of the majority. That may sound great and even practical-unless you are in the minority and the issues concern your well-being and perhaps even your ife.
Benjamin Franklin said : "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have lunch." Majority rule is, in essence, the tyranny of the majority, wherein dissenters are oppressed. At its worst, it can devolve into mob rule, a fearful circumstance that can break down into anarchy and calls for authoritian by a single leader.
American Founding Father John Adams said : "Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhauts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less ambitious, or less avaricious than aristocracy or monorchy. It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appear in history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple government, and when unchecked produce the same effect of fraud, violence, and cruetly.
Yet even a true democratic republic does not neccessarily promote freedom. The forces of democracy are still at work in selecting representation. A takeoff on the humorous quote up front notes that is a republic,the flock gets to vote for which wolves vote on lunch.Of course, some countries refer to themselves as democratic republics even if truly free election are absent. Here's a clear case, then, where democracy does not equate to freedom.

City of God

St. Thomas Aquinas agreed with St. Augustine that Church is necessary to secure eternal good but at the same time, like Aristotle, he believed that the state is necessary to provide the condition for a good life. Thus, Aquinas combine both reason and faith in his ideas which are called scholasticism. He try to integrate revelation with reason. Aquinas believed that the function of a state was to enable humans to lead virtous lives for eternal salvation. However, people cannot achieve salvation without the guidance of church. It is true that man is a social animal and, therefore, state is natural to man but is the church alone which has the universal spiritual authority. According to Aquinas, human beings are guided by four kinds of laws: a)univesal law; b)eternal law; c)natural law; d)human law. Universal law are divine law and, therefore, perfect. In human law, there is a possibility of errors. Therefore, he argued that a secula rule could fuction best only if he rules under the guidance of the Church. The Church being the controlling guide of the state, the Papal authority is superior to temporal authority.

My testimony

Many of us will like to ask : what is life? Life ?????? When I'm still a child, I always look upward to the sky and ask what is my destiny ? What is the purpose of life ? Is life meaningless? What is my future? In my deep heart, I'm just a ordinary person with a limited strength and power. Who am I ? What happen around me is not of my authority or in other word is out of my control. Maybe I should stop. Stop being childish!!! Stop being curious!!! Stop being considerable!!! Stop hoping!!! What is solution of these questions ? Is being a person of ignoring is the anwer of these question. Personally, I don't know? Until, i finally being baptized and became a true Christian . God gives me an anwer. Bible is becoming my guidance of my life.

" God is love"( 1 John 4:8) many of us still cannot believe that God loves uis. WHY? WHY? WHY? This is because they saw many sufferings in this world. Poverty, hunger, diseases, wars, etc are shadowing in our life. Why God let these suferrings on this world?Is God mercyless? Is God died? No! No! No! The anwers are NO! God knows all the sufferings in this world. So, what is the evidence to show that God loves us?"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."(John3:16).

There is still one question . What is the purpose of Jesus Christ came to the world?
"The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 'The Spirit of the Lord is on me,because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,to release the oppressed,to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.'Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, 'Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.' "(Luke 4:17-21) . Jesus came to the earth to save the "poors", "prisoners", "blinds" and released the "oppressed". What Jesus doing is on God's favorand God loves all the unfortunate people. We must always mentioned to ourselves that God gives special " offers" to them.

"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"(John 8:12) . Not everything is solved and everday is a good day.Undeniable, we as a human has rises and falls, ups and downs. Life is unpredictable. What is God offered to us is the light of life. The light of life !? What I meant is the the guidance of life. We all just a weak people since a flesh will become useless and old in one day. Only by depending on Jesus, we live and see the life of lightness. Remember the death of flesh is temporary but death of Spirit is eternal and seperated with God. Jesus is the source of Water and Spirit.

In last post, I said that repent is the only way to enter the kingdom of God. we know that we cannot defect sins but God can. I finally realised that only in God's favor , we will be saved and He takes care of us. I found my new destiny . My destiny is to believing, obeying and spreading the Gospel or " Good News" around the world. I can sure that this my destiny. This is my purpose of life and future. This is my testimony. Repent

Repent! What we have to do is to repent. Repent is the only way to enter the kingdom of God. Why repent? I know that in this agemany people are well-educated and full of information. This is because we are on the era of information technology and globalisation. However, we must know that God is the creator of the universe and source of knowkedge. Nothing ! Nothing ! Nothing is not come from God. we must humble before God.

Recently, people try to understand God by our will and knowledge. Scientific investigation,archaeology, theology etc are used by many researchers to understand God. Through these studies, we discover that many work done by God are planned and with a purpose. Why I say this statement ? Lets look on the bible and the facts !

The Bible : library of 66 books, 40 writers, over a period of 1500 years !
( Only God could perfectly foretell and plan what will happen for the future.)

Human religions : All leaders are held by death
"Christ was in the grave for 3 days " (John 19:38-42 )
"He came back to life ! (John20:1-20)

Why God shows this to us???
God wants us to know only God could save us and defeat death.

So, repent for our sins because God loves you and God is Love.
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts2:38)

Peace is our hand

"And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, 'Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?' He said to Him. ' What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?' So he answered and said, 'You shall love the Lord your god with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.' And He said to him, 'Ypu have answered rightly; do this and you will live.' But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, ' And who is my neighbour?' Then Jesus answered and said : " A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped himhalf dead.' " (Luke 10: 25-30)

In many years, humans are keep looking for answer about our existence in earth. many questions are asked. Philosophers have found answer and even developed a new branch of philosophy called Existentialism. They emphasis on the individual and potential
consequences of the existance or non-existance of God.

However, I don't agree with this statement. The world is simple. Peace can maintain by love. We love harmony with not split of blood. Love your friend, neighbour, the one you hate, prisoners, murders, thieves, sinners, etc. Forget what they have done in the past. Accept them with a new-born person when they asked for forgiveness. There will not not be war if nations can tolerate each other without considering their politic ideology and races.

We must also aware that peace can maintain by believing God. We must give the entirely of ourselves to God. What Jesus taught us ? Jesus taught us that love your neighbour as you love yourself . Who is our neighbour ? Our neighbour is the people around us. This means that all the citizen in this world is our neighbours including
your friend, neighbour, the one you hate, prisoners, murders, thieves, sinners, etc. I know not every can do this teacheangs. Difficult but can can be done. Remeber, for Chistian, God is love and love all of us. He also accept we (a humble sinner) with forgiveness and grace. We must do the same with our neighbour.

May God help us bring peace to the world with His grace and love. Amen

How to defeaty sins

"And He said, 'What comes out of a man, taht defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, fooliness. all these evil things come from within and defile man.' " ( Mark 7:20-23)

Men often commit sins whether we are awared or not. It is a fact. History has proved this statement. In many years of human history, there are many dictators, war promoters, false messiah, series killers, cheaters, rapists, etc. No matter how people hate sins, it will repeat itself.
Why????
This is because sins is born with us since we are baby. People cannot destyroy sins in their mind no matter how hard we try. We are inheritated from our ancestor, Adam and Eve. The only way to defeat it is to confess about what we did to God, the Almighty.

God is is forgiveful and love sinners. He do not what us to go to HELL when our flesh is dead. We are only in the correct pathway when accepted God.

" Only those who accept God's Word admit that they were sinners. They also know that they become righteous by faith. So, they know that ignoring and laying aside His Word without recognizing it is the most seriousd sin. Those who accept His Word are righteous, even though they were previously sinners. They were born again of His Word in His World in His grace and the most blessed."
