Good Governance

Recently, "political tsunami" has been a hot issue in Malaysia. Whether mainstream media or internet , they are talking about "Reformasi ", Ketuanan Melayu", "V.K Lingam's case", "Internal Security Act (ISA)", "formation of Malaysian Anti Corruption Council (MACC) and Judicial Arbitration Council (JAC)" etc. 308 election has showed that Malysian have became more mature in dealing their right on democracy. Although many people still cannot wht have happened during, we must learn how to accept the consequences of our decision. You have made a choice in voting your candicate. Hope you have made a right choice.

Enough is enough. We must now only concentrate on what is good for our county future dentiny. For the mean time, all political parties whether is " Barisan Nasional" or "Pakatan Rakyat" coaliution should cooperate in order to have a good governance for the benefit of " Rakyat". Actually , what are the criterias of a good government ? Here I have a article about what is a good governance:
" The concept relates to the quality of relationship between government and the citizenwhom it exists to serve and protect the right of Rakyat. The four elements of good governance are

1. Accountability
2. Tranparency
3. Predictability
4. Participation

Accountability is taking responsibility on thir their own actions. They are required to respond what problem is stuggling among people and able to encounter it. Particularly with the dramatic improvements in information and communication tecnology such as improve e-filing, receive complaints via internet, promote protocol in blogger etc.this an essential adjuncty to improve efficiency of public service delivery and the Rakyat can now be obtained a low cost variety in obtaining their right to know what is happening .

Transperency in policy is a must for public( normally through mainstream media or internet).It is essential not only the information provided must always up-dated, but also it be relevant and understandable. Freedom of all media must be protected.This is important that journalists have a range of freedom in reporting the truth of events happening without crossing the boundaries of laws.

Predictability results primarily from laws and regulations that are clear, known in advance, and ubniformly and effectively enforced. Lack of predictability makes it difficult for public officials to plan for the provision of services. Predictability of government economic actions is also needed as an idicator on which the private sector can rely to make its own production, marketing, and investment decision. most importantly, to be predictable, the application of economc regulations must be fair, effective and uniform.

Participation of opposition parties is needed to act as a reality check and watchdog for government. Participation of rakyat is also needed as a spur to government operational efficiency and feedback for monitoring access to and quality of the services."

E-life Teen

Nowadays, teen life is full of explosure of technology and information . Peer pressure is everywhere while exploring the e-world. Their life goal is undefined where they only think about the excitement. Everyday, we receive stimulus from internet that make them "addict " in this stimulation world.

The formula is very simple :


INDIVIDULISME + IDEALISM + PEER PRESSURE = SOCIAL PROBLEMS

However, they may come from a weathly or poor family. Not all problem teenagers come from a problem family. Lack of inttention is one of hte main reason in leading on the spread of the social problem in e-life. Teenagers are often neglected by parents nowadays. Parents are busy in working to give their child a enjoyable life. Serial killers or serial rapist online-game is well known and played by many teens. They can't self control and doing things without much consideration to others. Entertainment of bullying and harrassment begin spread from the deepest of the heart of teens. Teens become self-centred (they always think for their own interest and themselves).


I noticed that the awareness of the parents is very low. Parental guidance is very important in playing a role for the teens' future.If parents act as a good role model and have good relationship with their children, less likely teens' ll be lack of attention. Many social problems in nowadays can be avoided .Lack of attention is the sub-reason that they need to do somethings to get some attention in feeling their importance in life.

What is important things in teens' life :

Money ?
Future ?
Love ?
Academic ?
Leadership ?

Actually, myself also didn't sure about it. For me, a normal life is more than enough.
It is very important to handle the stress with a right way. The stressful of teens lead to many social problems. They are confused about what are they doing now will affect their future. FAME and MONEY are the only things figure out for their future.

We should start realise that the teen problem is very serious and solve it. Prevention is more effective than cure (chinese saying). So sadly, they are so many social problem in every corner of the world.

A New Approach To Strategic Leadership ( Zealous Youth Club)

A traditional preoccupation with the immediate and short term on the part of club leader has recently given way to recognition of the need for, importance of, strategic leadership. However, we always expressed a number of concerns about recent thinking on strategic leadership during a "storm" ( arguement between members) . Therefore, we must focus on the view of club vision and improvement planning that are sufficient and will deliver club improvement. Over-reliance on short-term , spontaneous approaches to attract members among teens is in fact symptomatic to make connection with them. Vision is not enough. Strategic leadership is the simple but profound realization that difficult if not impossible to act strategically in publicity.

An emphasis placed on a learning centred and leaner-centred approach that focuses on the core of technology, organising events, commuciaton skills and managent of club is important. We have many stimulation for the necessity for longer time horizons ( beyond three and five years) and shorter-term strategic flexibility. Consistency portrays a view of strategy that takes account of the tradisional organizations fallibilities and at same time offers a design for successful club. Our perspective of strategic leadership highlights the cultural in shaping strategy and leadership.
If stragetic thinking is to engage with the concept of club objective aimed for teens, then it is essential to distinguish the various organizational elements that comprise the club. The following elements are identified :

. learning processes and experinces
. teaching appoaches and strategies
. technology, especially Power Point ( computers )
. organization structures
. human resources
. finicial resources
. leadership and organisation culture

The above list may not be comprehensive, but it includes the most important elements. While they are presented seperately, in reality, just as in any system, they are functionally interdependent.

My Experience In Zealous

When our club first started as a martial art class, I became immediately curious about it. I had just been introduced to join in, thanks to my friend, Felix Ti ( now as Captain in this club). My first reaction was excited and would be a great experience for me. Every great achievement has a humble start. Our martial class started with only 5 students. However, the number of students increased throughout months. After having a series of discussions and meetings, we all agreed to found Zealous Youth Club.

A successful club should has MVP, that is Mission, Vision and Performance. Our mission is to reach out teenagers' heart and solving their problems. Our club has 4 objectives :promote martial art, 2nd home for teenagers, develop social, management & leadership skills and promote happiness. We want to empower and make teenagers happy. Hopefuly, our club will leave an amazing impact on the lively teenagers'mind. In this sense, I congratulate our founder, Michael Ti Seng Aun for very commendable effort in developing an original and innovative strategics for our club. He also taught us how do make a presentation by using Microsoft Power Point. The impact of the ideas and technology in presenting our club's mission and vision are more effective. We have varius departments such as IT, Human Resources, Executive,Creative and Marketing & Publicity to give teenagers a explosure in this various fields.

We always pay attention on our dominant position and peformance. We had been organize camps and martial art demo to give a organize experience and confidence to our members. We create a stimulation at every second week.This to provide a medium for learning leadership skill and courage to encounter the real world in promoting our club. the stimulation such as job interview, flyer making, computer presentation, giving a speech on promoting our club etc. We already organize a opening ceremony to give approachment to all our member and non-member. We got a lot of good feedback on this opening ceremony. We also got many support from parents and sponser after this event.

Finally, we know the opportunity,performance and agreement are importance in running a club. I wish this club will very success that it richly deserves.
